They will also clean up the boxes after the meet.

50/50 Raffle(one for each home meet) - This person sells the 50/50 tickets during the meet to the spectators.  The monies realized from these raffles raises money for the club helping keep other dues for the club constant.

Announcer (one for each home meet) - This person keeps the swimmers and spectators informed of the status of various activities during the meet.  Arrange for the singing of the National Anthem over loudspeaker, they announce the events, the running score, the winner of the 50/50, etc.

Seeders (4 for each event) - The coaches give the seeders a list with all of the swimmers names and which event they are in.  During the warm-ups, The seeders use a pen to write their events on the swimmers' hands.  The swimmer also gets cards from the coaches with the list of the swimmers in each event.  They use these cards to line up the swimmers in their lanes at the start of events during the meet.  NOTE: this is very important for young swimmers!

Stroke Judge (one for each meet) - This person judges the swimmers' strokes.  It requires some knowledge regarding what is and is not permitted during each of the strokes swum.  The person must disqualify swimmers when necessary.

Timers (6 for each meet, plus one 'Head' timer for home meets) - Timers are given stopwatches.  They are told which lane to time and will record those times on swimmers' cards. If they have a lane containing a swimmer that places, the place judge tells them what place to write on the card.

Place Judge (3 for each meet) - Each judge is given a 'place' to watch.  For example, say you are given 2nd place - you stand on the side of the pool and watch for who comes in 2nd place in the races.  Then you walk to that lane and tell the timer to write '2nd place' on the swimmer's card.

Scorekeeper (1 for each meet) - He or she sits at a table near the deck with the scorekeeper from the other team.  The runners give the scorekeepers the score cards and the scorekeeper puts them in place order.  He/She records the place and time for 1st through 6th place, and then assigns the appropriate points.  He/She keeps a running score of both teams and totals the scores at the end of each meet, certifying the meet winner.
