Practice Times
Practices are the most important component of competitive swimming. Consistent practice is vital to a swimmer’s progress and improvement. Practice is not mandatory, but it is important that each swimmer attend as many practices as possible in order to realize their maximum potential. Consistent attendance is essential for moving to the next level. Meet performance is directly related to practice performance.
Practice attire:
Goggles are mandatory. Competition swimsuits are recommended for the boys and NO two piece suits for the girls. Team suits are recommended, but not required. If your child has long hair, a swim cap is required. For dry land practices you will need a jump rope and proper attire (shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes).

Swim Meets
Each program level has outlined the minimum number of meets we would like your child to swim; however, meet attendance is not mandatory. In September you will receive a schedule of swim meets that applies to your swimmer’s program level. Not all program levels attend the same meets. Some meets are ‘open’ to all swimmers and others have qualifying time requirements. You will be given a form (or you can get it online) that you will fill out and return to the meet entry person indicating what meets your child will be attending. The coaching staff will choose the events that your child will swim. Prior to the meet (approx 7-14 days) you will receive a form (or e-mail) confirming your child’s entry and events.
